Cadaqués, Portlligat & Cap de Creus Natural Park
(full day tour)
Itinerary:
Departing from Girona around 9 a.m. and after one-hour journey we will come to the famous picturesque seaside town of Cadaqués whose winding cobbled streets and peaceful setting well deserve a stroll around the old quarter and along the beach-front. On leaving this pretty town, we will set out for the Bay of Port Lligat.
There we will have the chance to visit the house where Salvador Dalí spent his summer time and where he drew inspiration from for most of his surrealist artistic work.
After lunchtime we will head towards the Creus Cape peninsula, located at the easternmost tip of the Iberian mainland, which is a foreshore nature reserve of tiny coves and turquoise waters. A walk along the cliffs edge will provide you with a chance to admire the breathtaking views of the seascape and we will cap it off with a visit to the historical lighthouse at the Cape.
In our way back there will be the chance to visit the Sant Pere de Rodes monastery.
As soon as the visit ends, we will travel back to Girona reaching our destination by 6-7 p.m.
