Garrotxa Tour

Itinerary:
Setting out from Girona around 9 am we will head for Banyoles Lake where will have the chance to wander along the shore of Europe’s unique lake.
Besalú:
Besalú a medieval village whose must-see attractions include the impressive Romanesque bridge, the Medieval Quarter, the Old Sinagogue, the Main Town Square and the old city walls, all of which are worth exploring as you wander around.
Castellfollit de la Roca:
Then we will travel on to Castellfollit de la Roca to gaze at one of the most widely photographed and painted sights in Catalonia.
In the afternoon we will walk around the Vulcano Croscat inside the Garrotxa National Park.
The youngest and highest volcano in the Iberian Peninsula, with the last eruption dated back to about 14, 000 years Before Present.
Santa Pau:
In the midst of the volcanic region of La Garrotxa lies Santa Pau. This small village boasts of being one of the most beautiful and well-preserved medieval villages around, which accounts for its popularity among tourists.
Once the visit finishes, we will drive back to Girona arriving there by 6-7 p.m.
